When I began this blog back in November ‘09, I never would have guessed that any of the songwriting articles in my archives would garner links from music industry giants. I underestimated how plugged-in they are—Robin Frederick seems to have known about my website even before Google did.
I also never could have foreseen the excellent contributions made by guest writers like Matt Blick and Maria Rainier.
So who has visited, and which articles did they pick? Read on to find out.
Robin Frederick
“I’ve been writing songs all my life, a couple hundred of them have aired on TV shows, and dozens have appeared on albums, stage, and a wide variety of audio products. As Director of A&R at Rhino Records, I oversaw the production of more than 60 albums as Executive Producer. Currently, I head the A&R Team at TAXI, the world’s leading independent A&R company, offering songwriting advice to TAXI’s 11,000 members.”
Robin’s articles about songwriting are formed around a solid core of respect for the content of songs, and how good craft can enhance that content. Ask Google “How to write a song” and you’ll find Robin’s name right there. Make sure you visit her website and check out some of her songwriting advice!

Gutted.
You are, aren’t you? Which articles do you pick, Matt?
Thanks for the link today. I love penguins. All penguins. Individually.
Man I don’t have time for that. The Penguins have to be loved collectively by me.
They understand.
